Queen Creek's Wine & Design still open as it looks for new storefront

While the storefront is now closed, Wine & Design is still operating multiple classes every week, and from Wine & Design On Wheels to virtual classes, there’s an opportunity for everyone to create their own masterpiece.

Wine & Design is still open for business, operating private affairs and events at local facilities, after deciding not to renew its lease at its storefront located on East Rittenhouse Road.

Wine & Design has become popular in Queen Creek for its wine-accompanied painting classes that are fun for people of all ages. Despite not having a physical storefront currently, Wine & Design is fully operational as they search for a new location.

They provide the drinks, all the art supplies, as well as local artists to teach the class, ensuring everyone goes home with an art piece they’re proud of. While Wine & Design is not currently operating out of a set location, they are offering Wine & Design On Wheels, where classes are being hosted at a variety of local restaurants and businesses.

“Instead of hosting a paint and sip party in one of our studios, we partner with local businesses to offer fun and creative painting parties at your favorite venues,” its website says.

On June 15, Wine & Design hosted one of these events at Bar Vinedo in Queen Creek, offering complimentary wine tasting as well as painting, which was instructed by local artist Anita Lopez. The next Wine & Design On Wheels event will be on Wednesday, June 22 at The Sugar bar in Chandler with Anita Lopez again instructing.

All the upcoming Wine & Design On Wheels events can be found on the calendar on Wine & Design’s website. While most of these are held locally, Wine & Design is hosting an event as far as Tucson in early July.

Wine & Design also offers virtual painting parties where you can pick up a painting kit with all the supplies and learn step-by-step from an instructor over Zoom, in the comfort of your home. These virtual parties are hosted every weekend and cost $25. Every class the paintings are different, so you can attend as many classes as you wish and end up with something new every time.

The Art Buzz Kids events offered by Wine & Design are still running, they have just relocated to Cambridge Academy on Ocotillo Road. These are fun summer art camps for kids that operate up to five days, with each one having a different theme. Parents can send their child for any number of days whether it’s just one or all five. The themes range from “A Pirate’s Life” to “When you Wish Upon a Star” to “Shark Week.”

Perfect for parties or team building, Wine & Design also does private events where they supply everything your group needs for a fun evening.

“Wine & Design offers a wide range of affordable private and public paint and sip parties for all ages, groups and skill levels. From birthday parties to couple’s nights, mobile events to private classes, Wine & Design will turn your next party into a memorable celebration,” its website says.

They also have a Paint it Forward program where Wine & Design hosts private or public parties and a portion of the proceeds are then donated to a local or national charity. “The larger your event, the more we give back,” its website says.

While the storefront is now closed, Wine & Design is still operating multiple classes every week, and from Wine & Design On Wheels to virtual classes, there’s an opportunity for everyone to create their own masterpiece. All upcoming events as well as tickets to those events can be found on the calendar at wineanddesign.com/queencreek-az.
