Mici Italian celebrates re-grand opening in Queen Creek

After 20 years of restaurants in Colorado, the founders and owners are excited to bring their first family-owned out-of-state store to Queen Creek.

Last month, on Feb. 27, Mici Italian celebrated its re-grand opening with an official Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony. In attendance were Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce staff, local business owners, Queen Creek Councilman Bryan McClure, Kurt Riske with Level Up Projects and Mici Italian co-owner Marissa Miceli and family. Guests enjoyed free cannolis and pizza.

Mici Italian is family-owned and operated, founded by a real Italian family, Mici is an abbreviation of their surname, Miceli. They serve salads, pasta, pizza and dessert from family recipes that are made with real ingredients and from scratch. They have eight stores in Denver and one in Arizona. Their re-grand opening event supported The Kwamie Lassiter Foundation and a percentage of the sales from that day were donated to the foundation to help carry on their mission

“It’s been a year since we opened our doors, and recently took over from the previous owners. We’re here locally now, so we’re really excited about it. Everything is from the heart and named after my father. We’re just really happy to be in this beautiful community,” said co-owner Miceli.

After 20 years of restaurants in Colorado, the founders and owners are excited to bring their first family-owned out-of-state store to Queen Creek, located at 24750 S. Ellsworth Road, near Riggs Road.

“Again, we’re super grateful to be here and thankfully for the team I inherited, they are awesome. I’m looking forward to continuing to support the community here. Whatever people need, whether its food or charity related, we want to open our doors to help our community any way we can,” said Riske.
