Schnepf Farms of Queen Creek announced a noon groundbreaking Jan. 20 for a Circle K gas station and mini mart.
"We're excited to announce that you'll soon have the convenience of a gas station and mini mart just outside of Schnepf Farms! Circle K is breaking ground today at noon," they posted this morning on their Facebook page.
The new Circle K will be located at the northwest corner of East Rittenhouse and East Riggs roads, where the Schnepf family insisted that the property's design complement the land it sits on and their surrounding farm, so this will be the first ever rustic country look for a Circle K in the Queen Creek area, the Schnepf family said.
Many residents on Facebook are concerned though about a gas station being so close to the local farm where they currently buy fresh-grown food.
