Famous 66 opens in the East Valley

Paying homage to Route 66 in design and incorporating bold flavors harkening back to the American dream, the 6,200-square-foot interior features vintage road signs and old-world gas station brands emblazoned throughout, from a Sinclair dinosaur to antique car grills and more.

Famous 66, an American tavern that pays homage to Route 66, opened its doors to the East Valley Thursday in Gilbert.

Serving the burgeoning regional demand for elevated food in comfortable, charming surroundings, Famous 66 arrives on the East Valley scene as the newest restaurant concept by Square One Concepts. Famous 66 reflects an American standard, a go-to neighborhood tavern with hand-crafted fresh food made from a scratch kitchen for high-quality, memorable dining experiences.

Paying homage to Route 66 in design and incorporating bold flavors harkening back to the American dream, the 6,200-square-foot interior features vintage road signs and old-world gas station brands emblazoned throughout, from a Sinclair dinosaur to antique car grills and more. The restaurant boasts comfortable leather horseshoe booths, banquettes and wood-finished tables, plus a 1,500-square-foot patio with outdoor seating for up to 100. A private dining room serves to accommodate special occasions, birthday celebrations, large family gatherings, business meetings and more with space for up to 20 guests.

Famous 66 is located in the Gilbert Town Square, at 1026 S. Gilbert Road. They are open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
