Read with a Cop in 2023 at Queen Creek Library

Officer Rachel de la Torre had a blast reading "The Book with no Name" to the children who participated in this month's event. She also talked to them about her role as a "helper" in the community. She told them not to be afraid to come up to an officer if they ever get lost or need help.

Read with a Cop Story Time kicked off for 2023 last Thursday at the Queen Creek Library. This is a family program for all ages where an officer from the Queen Creek Police Department stops by to read and interact with local children in a special story time environment each month in the Mary Lou Fulton Story Time Room of the library.

On Jan. 5, Officer Rachel de la Torre had a blast reading "The Book with no Name" to the children who participated in this month's event. She also talked to them about her role as a "helper" in the community. She told them not to be afraid to come up to an officer if they ever get lost or need help.

Registration for this Read with a Cop program is required online at the library and is open 24 hours in advance. Each child may bring one adult in the room with them.
