Queen Creek's Public Safety Day slated for Feb. 4

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet officers and firefighters, enjoy fun activities and check out Queen Creek's public safety equipment and vehicles next Saturday.

The community will have a chance to meet members of the Queen Creek Police Department (QCPD) and Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department (QCFMD) at the annual Public Safety Day next month.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet officers and firefighters, enjoy fun activities and check out Queen Creek's public safety equipment and vehicles.

This free upcoming event will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 in the parking lots of Fire Station 1 and the Law Enforcement and Community Chambers Building, 20727 Civic Parkway.

Last year's event was the first for QCPD and this year it will be the first for the department's K-9 units to meet the public. Last year was very successful for the new town department.

"We had a steady crowd, at least 800 to 900 residents come out to meet with us. It was a good event," Police Chief Randy Brice said after last January's event.

This is part of Queen Creek's public safety community outreach events with residents to be able to interact with all ages in town and show them how both departments protect and serve the public.
