Queen Creek Fire & Medical Department seeking recruit firefighters who put service above self

“We are excited to add new members to our fire family. We are looking for recruit firefighters who are excited to work for a fire department that is growing, has promotional opportunities, and professionals who emphasize service to the organization and community we serve,” said QCFMD Fire Chief Vance Gray.

The Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department (QCFMD) is currently hiring new recruit firefighters. Applications are open through Monday, Oct. 10.

The perfect candidate will align with the organization’s philosophy of delivering the highest level of professional service, while working to protect lives and property by honoring tradition and embracing innovation.

New hires are tentatively scheduled to join Class 23-1 at the Gilbert Regional Training Center beginning in March 2023.

Upon successful completion of the academy graduates will begin duties at an assigned fire station in Queen Creek.

The minimum qualifications for the firefighter recruit positions include:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain EMT or paramedic license before Jan. 1, 2023.
  • Have a valid CPAT provided by an IAFF/ IAFC licensee (valid Jan. 1, 2022 through Jan. 1, 2023).
