The firefighters, police officers and teen cadets loaded up a truck full of toys that will be gifted to children in the area as part of their work over the weekend at the 14th Annual Christmas Car Show and Toy Drive, hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Queen Creek and the Queen Creek Family Resource Center. The gifts will help make the holidays brighter for many children in the community.

Queen Creek firefighters and police officers, along with teens from the East Valley Cadet program, have been working hard to make sure local kids in need are taken care of this holiday season.

“This annual car show and toy drive is a collaboration between the Kiwanis Club and the East Valley Firefighter Charities (that support local charity needs)," Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department Fire Chief Vance Gray said. "Our department looks forward to seeing a great turn out and collecting lots of toys that will make the holidays special and memorable for so many children in our community."

In addition, Queen Creek police officers and support staff had fun picking out Christmas gifts for children over the weekend by partnering with Target's Heroes and Helpers program. They helped give holiday joy to kids throughout the community by shopping for gifts and delivering them to families this week.
