Making history: Queen Creek police officers sworn in Dec. 1

“This is a very exciting moment for our community,” Mayor Gail Barney said. “Public safety continues to be one of our top priorities and the swearing in of our Queen Creek Police Department (QCPD) personnel is quite the milestone. We are proud to welcome these professional men and women to our fantastic community."

Last night - just 24 hours shy of Queen Creek Police Chief Randy Brice being sworn in at the Dec. 2, 2020 Town Council meeting - 52 members of the newly formed Queen Creek Police Department received their badges in a special ceremony.

Dec. 1, 2021 is another historic day in town history as the officers, sergeants and lieutenants were then sworn in during last night's Town Council meeting after the badge pinning ceremony.

All QCPD officers have undergone hundreds of hours of training. This training has focused on specific foundational principles including effective decision making, partnerships and community collaboration. Together they bring decades worth of law enforcement experience to the Town of Queen Creek.

“These officers are problem solvers and forward thinking," Police Chief Randy Brice said. "Our focus is to connect, engage and succeed together. This incredible group of dedicated officers, sergeants, lieutenants and professional staff are ready to serve and partner with the community. I am immensely proud to be part of this team and look forward to Jan. 11.”

The Town of Queen Creek will host a Public Safety Day on Jan. 8, 2022 to celebrate the launch of the new police department as they join the Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department in serving the residents of the community.

Queen Creek police officers will officially begin patrolling the streets at midnight on Jan. 11, 2022. Until QCPD begins service, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office - District 6 remains the town's law enforcement provider. The MCSO substation in Queen Creek is located at 20727 E. Civic Parkway. Lobby hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For emergencies, call 911. MCSO's non-emergency number is 602-876-1011.
