The Lead Out Loud students from Katherine Mecham Barney Elementary School hosted a breakfast for Queen Creek police officers and firefighters this week. The Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) made gift bags for members of both the Queen Creek Police Department and the Queen Creek Fire and Medical Department and the group even played lawn games.
"What an awesome way for QCUSD students to give back to the community to show their appreciation for our first responders," school officials said.
"We want to thank the Lead Out Loud students from Katherine Mecham Barney Elementary for inviting us for a morning full of delicious food and fun games," said police and fire officials. "We are so grateful for the support and the connections we are making in our school communities."
