April 4, 1948 – June 21, 2022

Sandra Ann Babcock passed away on June 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 4, 1948 in Rockford, Illinois to Chester Thomas and Geraldine Galluzzo. Sandra was one of four children in a large loving family and a twin to Steven Galluzzo. Sandra had a strong faith and was baptized Catholic. She graduated in 1966 from Bishop Muldoon Catholic High School an all-girls school and often shared stories of her time spent there. On October 19, 1968, she married the love of her life Dean George Babcock at Saint Rita’s Catholic Church in Rockford, Illinois and they shared 53 amazing years together. Sandra had two beautiful children, Dean (Dino) and Kimberly (Kimmy), who were her greatest accomplishments in life.

Sandra and her family moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1979 where they resided for the last 43 years. Her biggest joy in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting God and her family above everything. When she began working again outside the home, she spent over 14 years in the Beauty Industry and was very proud of her many accomplishments, awards, recognition, and travels. She prided herself on being a Top Performer in her industry.

Sandra had many talents and her artistic ways showed in the many drawings, paintings, and poetry she created. She loved making homemade gifts that were special for the ones she loved. She had a special love for animals and was often referred to as the dog whisperer. She was always the life of the party, doing crazy things to make people smile and laugh. She loved to gather with her family and hosted many parties at her home. She had a magnetic personality and left an impression on those she knew a lifetime or those she briefly met. Her red lipstick and nail polish were a must in her life, always asking “if it was on straight” when applying it.  Her memories and ability to “light up the room” are a gift of love that will remain an enduring treasure through the years and in the lives of all those that were blessed to have known her.

We will always love you and goodbye is not the end.

Sandra is survived in death by her husband Dean Babcock, son Dean and daughter-in-law Lynnette Babcock, daughter Kimberly and son-in-law Monte Stonefield, four grandchildren: Emily, Eric, Joseph and Sophia, sister Carol G-Knight, brother Dave and sister-in-law Wendy Galluzzo, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Chester Galluzzo, mother Geraldine Galluzzo, and twin brother Steven Galluzzo.

The funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85207.
