Alan Charles Svoboda, 66, of Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023 after living with Parkinson’s for the past decade. Born in Junction City, Kansas and son of the late Betty and Charles Svoboda, he grew up in Chapman, spending his weekends riding motorcycles and working on nearby farms. Alan developed a love for flying while attending college at Kansas State University and received his pilot license after taking a semester off to pay for it. He graduated from Kansas State University, Summa Cum Laude, with a BS in Engineering and then moved to Arizona where he received several patents at Motorola.

In addition to engineering, Alan was a dedicated family man, electrician, plumber, woodworker, and an excellent auto mechanic. His love for life revolved around his family. He enjoyed spending time with them camping, off-roading, and traveling. Alan loved the outdoors and enjoyed it even more with his family. One of his favorite hobbies was 4-wheeling in his CJ-7.

Alan is survived by his loving wife Julie (Mayhall) Svoboda of 27 years and he was a proud father of his three children; Dillon, Dalton and Shay, and their significant others. He was even prouder of his three grandchildren Emmalyn, Roland, and Remington. Alan is predeceased by his brother Don and survived by his sisters Peggy, Janet, Joyce, and Helen, as well as their extended families.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Alan C. Svoboda will be held at 2:00 pm on March 25, 2023, at Superstition Cremation and Funeral Services located at 398 E. Old West Highway in Apache Junction, AZ 85119.
