“The Parade & Faire is an important event for the Valley and downtown community and we are thrilled to be back in person in 2022,” said Jeffrey Aspland, president, St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Faire Committee. “The Parade and Faire is a fundraiser for the Parade & Faire committee, so a positive turn out means you can expect this event to happen for years to come.”

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, the event, like so many others, was abruptly shut down before it could get started. Terri Kimble, CEO/president of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, said they will honor your 2020 ticket for this year's event if you still have it. 

During the negotiations, players turned to the Valley for help. Mesa’s Bell Bank Ballpark (near Queen Creek), the new, sprawling state-of-the-art facility, attracted dozens of MLB players who gathered to stage their own version of spring training as they awaited resolution to the work stoppage.

“The obvious answer is because of mitigation factors, the same thing that prevent you from getting COVID prevent you from getting the flu,” said Frank LoVecchio, clinical professor and medical director of clinical research at Arizona State University’s College of Health Solutions.

"We continue to hire incredible people to our farm family and Denine Pauley is one of them. She's our new merchandise manager and is responsible for making our little shops come to life on the promenade," said Carrie Schnepf. "With the Agritainment Park opening this weekend, we will be premiering our new gift shops she's been busy working on."

"People can go online and sign up for the talent show and that's their free ticket to get in the park and compete in our very own 'Arizona's Got Talent,'" Carrie Schnepf said. "We just want to let people know that they can still come to the farm during our regular hours Thursday through Sunday to go to our bakery and visit the animals."

Velvet Elvis is currently living at Friends for Life Animal Rescue's adoption center, 952 W. Melody Ave. in Gilbert.
