Tonight's free show starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center. The lobby will open at 5:30 p.m. Walk through the student art and poetry gallery and visit the community resource tables.

This year's parade kicks off at 10 a.m. in downtown. The route goes down Third Street from Oak Street to Margaret T Hance Park, where the Phoenix St Patrick’s Day Faire will get underway with Irish music, Irish step dancing, bagpipers, Irish clubs and community.

This free, family-friendly event features food, fun and live music, as well as the famous 560-foot fountain being transformed into a bright emerald green geyser at noon and 4 p.m.

Promoters said today that they have to cancel this event due to low ticket sales.

There’s a missing niche in our society... Why isn’t there a place where the community can come together to play music like there is for just about any other sport or interest? Band Toogether is bringing that niche to Queen Creek. Join them for their grand opening next Thursday, March 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be free drinks, snacks, stickers and a raffle for a chance to win free sessions.

The town offers two splash pads for families to enjoy as many begin spring break this weekend, but due to equipment failure in the water quality system, the Founders’ Park Splash Pad is closed until further notice.

Guests will enjoy live musical entertainment on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. by The Chacons, a brother and sister duo playing pop and classic rock songs with a soulful, jazz vibe. Children may create their own work of art and enter the coloring contest.

Purrogi's adoption fee is $175.

"Seven northern Arizona blood drives have been cancelled in this past week due to winter storms resulting in over an estimated 300 lost blood donations," said Sharon Ryan, senior donor recruitment account manager at Vitalant. "Valley blood donors are invited to help offset these lost donations for the sake of our own community blood supply."
