ZooLights back to normal this holiday season at Phoenix Zoo

"In celebration of the 30th anniversary of ZooLights there is a brand new display of illuminated paintings showing various endangered species," said Linda Hardwick, vice president of marketing, communications and events at the Phoenix Zoo.

ZooLights is back this holiday season at the Phoenix Zoo through Jan. 15, 2022. It's back to the normal walk through after being restricted to drive through only last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"In celebration of the 30th anniversary of ZooLights there is a brand new display of illuminated paintings showing various endangered species," said Linda Hardwick, vice president of marketing, communications and events at the Phoenix Zoo.

The zoo has partnered with artist Russell Ronat to present a special collection of beautiful, large mixed media paintings of endangered animals (known as Project Holocene) found throughout the ZooLights path.

Attendees can experience millions of twinkling lights, dazzling animal sculptures and two Music-in-Motion Light Shows on the main lake from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Tickets are $16 per person for members, $20 per person for the general public and children 2 years old and under are free.

The Phoenix Zoo is located at 455 N. Galvin Parkway. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at phoenixzoo.org.
