Town hosting water conservation art contest for K-12 students

All reduce the use art contest submissions are due by 6 p.m. this Wednesday, March 8 at the Town of Queen Creek Municipal Services Building.

The Town of Queen Creek is calling on all K-12 students to get creative with answering the question of how they can reduce their own water use. They want students to get creative answering this question through art for a chance to be displayed in the Queen Creek Library lobby or to win a water conservation prize pack.

To participate, students must submit two-dimensional artwork on an 8.5-by-11-inch paper, along with a submission form, by Wednesday, March 8 at 6 p.m. Art must be received by the Town of Queen Creek at the Municipal Services Building, at 22358 S. Ellsworth Road. Contest details found HERE

Living in the desert, water conservation is essential to preserving our environment and way of life. Reducing your personal water use is a good way to start conserving water in the Queen Creek community and this art contest provides a great opportunity for K-12 students in the Town of Queen Creek water service area to learn about and engage in water conservation.

The town's Downtown Arts and Placemaking Advisory Subcommittee will judge all artwork based on originality, creativity and addressing the contest prompt. Space permitting, submitted artwork will be displayed in the Queen Creek Library lobby during Earth Month in April.
