Beginning Monday, Jan. 16, southbound Ellsworth Road will be restricted to one lane south of the State Route 24 in Mesa for a waterline extension project.
The specific restrictions will move with the work zone, between SR 24 and south of Williams Field, according to the City of Mesa. Restrictions are anticipated through March for this first phase.
The second phase will include a waterline extension from south of William Field to Pecos roads and Ellsworth Road widening from the SR 24 to Germann Road. The specific restrictions and duration are still to be determined for the second phase.
Mesa officials said the project was timed to take place after the opening of the SR 24 extension and north/south connectors, east of Southern Road.
Southbound Ellsworth Road will be restricted to one travel lane for underground utility work Jan. 16 to March 27 from SR 24 south to Williams Field Road.
Avoid delays, use alternate routes. Northbound Ellsworth Road not restricted.
