Town of Queen Creek utility customers can register for free Water-Smart Workshops. These classes provide landscaping and water conservation tips to help residents save money and water.
All classes are hosted in the Queen Creek Library’s Zane Grey Room, located at 21802 S. Ellsworth Road. Town utility customers can register now for three upcoming classes here.
Upcoming Water-Smart Workshops are:
-SRP Water and Energy Conservation on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
In partnership with SRP (Salt River Project), the Town of Queen Creek will host a free residential water and energy conservation workshop. Learn how to cut costs and reduce your water and energy consumption, explore SRP’s energy-saving rebates, enjoy free ice cream, and be entered to win SRP Summer of Savings prizes.
-Gardening on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 9 to 11 a.m.
Learn from a local expert how to cultivate a thriving vegetable garden in our unique desert climate. Learn the basics of setting up your garden, selecting the right soil type, watering, beneficial bugs, what your soil needs to succeed, and Arizona’s distinctive gardening seasons.
-Irrigation Design and Installation on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 to 11 a.m.
This free class can help you learn what to look for and the questions to ask before investing in a new or updated drip or lawn irrigation system. Whether you plan on doing it yourself or hiring a professional, this class will boost your knowledge of what goes into designing and installing a drip or lawn irrigation system.
