Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce announces 39th Annual Holiday Festival & Parade

This year's 39th Annual Queen Creek Holiday Festival & Parade event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 7 p.m., in the heart of downtown Queen Creek. This year’s theme is Christmas in Candyland.

This year's 39th Annual Queen Creek Holiday Festival & Parade event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 2 to 7 p.m., in the heart of downtown Queen Creek.

This year’s theme is Christmas in Candyland. This year’s event is presented by Banner Ironwood Medical Center. In addition, Queen Creek Holiday Festival & Parade announces Hunter Contracting Co and the Town of Queen Creek as sponsors.

Now in its 39th year, the annual event benefits the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club of Queen Creek. The highlight of the family-friendly festival is the parade, which will feature over 90 entries ranging from marching bands and dance troupes to floats and the big man himself, Santa Claus. The parade will start at 3:30 p.m. and head north on Ellsworth Road, ending at the Recreation Annex/Library.

More than 10,000 guests are expected to attend and will also enjoy carnival rides, bounce houses, arts and crafts, live music, food, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and photos with Santa.

There are a number of ways the public can get involved with the festival, including being a vendor or sponsor. Businesses and organizations wishing to promote and/or sell their goods or services can apply to reserve a commercial vendor booth space. Booth spaces 10’ x 10’. Past commercial vendors have featured jewelry, candles, arts and crafts, purses, T-shirts, hats and decor. Applications are now being accepted, early bird specials are $90 and end on Oct. 29.

Food vendor applications are also now being accepted. Local eateries, food trucks and culinary vendors of all types are welcome to submit an application. The cost to participate is $250. This is an all day event, and we are in need of 100-plus adult volunteers to assist us in making sure that the event is safe and successful. Volunteering is three- or four-hour time slots between 11 a.m.-9 p.m. (subject to change). Those interested can sign up at queencreekparade.org.
