The Queen Creek Unified School District has announced that Tim Owens will be teaching social studies this upcoming school year at Eastmark High School in Mesa.

"I am coming over from Queen Creek High School after teaching there since 2017," Owens said. "I will be starting my 17th year teaching, with previous stops at Basha, JO Combs Middle School, Mesa and Dobson high schools.

"My wife, Gina, and I have two daughters, 20 and 16," he continued. "I also work in the California Air National Guard as an air transportation superintendent, keeping me very busy, so any free time I love doing whatever with my family, and watching ASU football and the Cardinals. I will be teaching AP economics, economics and government. I look forward to a productive and successful 2022-23 school year!”

Eastmark school officials added, "We’re excited to have you as part of the Firebird family!"
