The Movement Disorders Foundation of Arizona (MDFA) will host an educational seminar on sleep-related issues associated with Parkinson’s disease, tremors, and normal aging on March 1 at the Fountain Hills Community Center, located at 13001 N La Montana Dr. in Fountain Hills.
The seminar, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Arizona time, will feature presentations from renowned sleep specialist Dr. Ruchir P. Patel and movement disorder expert Dr. Virgilio Gerald H. Evidente.
The event will address sleep challenges such as REM behavior disorder, insomnia, sleep apnea, daytime sleepiness, and limb jerking. Attendees will learn about treatment options, including drug therapy, supplements, cannabinoids, nonpharmacologic approaches, sleep hygiene practices, and the latest available sleep devices.
