Canyon State Academy (CSA) recently announced that they are thrilled to commemorate a significant milestone: 40 years of dedicated service to youth, families and the communities they serve at Rite of Passage.
CSA has been honored to provide education, guidance and support to countless young individuals, helping them to achieve their full potential, according to the organization.
Canyon State Academy offers local youth a normalized high school experience, inclusive of residential treatment, accredited education, and extracurricular activities. Rite of Passage, the management organization of CSA, continues to grow and adapt, utilizing emerging data-driven research and disciplinary best practices to provide a comprehensive continuum of evidence-based, trauma-responsive, individualized care for vulnerable and underserved youth, without losing sight of our foundational framework, according to the organization.
"This remarkable journey has been made possible thanks to the unwavering commitment of our staff, the resilience of our students, and most importantly, the support of the community in the Queen Creek and greater Phoenix areas," according to CSA.
In honor of the countless local heroes that have contributed to the success of their students, they recently hosted an event at Sun Valley Community Church in Queen Creek on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
According to CSA, this event aimed to recognize and celebrate the everyday heroes in the community.
“The local community has given so much to our organization in our efforts to improve the lives of youth and we hope that this event showed how truly valued those acts of service, people, and organizations are to the betterment of our organization and the greater community," said Brian Heath, regional director of Rite of Passage’s Southwest Region remarked.
"These are the individuals who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of others, often without recognition," according to the organization. "Canyon State Academy has partnered with several agencies including the Town of Queen Creek, Queen Creek Fire Department, Queen Creek Police Department, and others to appoint and award these silent heroes. Their selfless acts of kindness and dedication make our community a better place."
