Serrano’s celebrates holiday season with tamales, specials through Dec. 6

Serrano added that their Queen Creek location does the largest sale of tamales during December.

Serrano’s Mexican Restaurants, which celebrates 42 years this month, will be spreading cheer this holiday season through the sale of its popular tamales and kickbacks on gift card purchases, in addition to featuring three specials through Dec. 6.

“As a family owned and operated local business, we appreciate the movement to support local businesses this holiday season and year-round,” said Ric Serrano, chief executive officer of Serrano’s Mexican Restaurants. “We’re offering our customers several options to help them buy local, including the return of our best gift-card deal ever.”

Serrano added that their Queen Creek location does the largest sale of tamales during December.

Tamales, party trays

Through New Year’s Eve, Serrano’s will be offering its red beef and pork or green corn tamales by the dozen for $29.99. Assorted party trays of mini chimis, flautas, chicken and cheese rollups and jalapeno poppers are also available to order in increments of three, six or nine dozen ($39.99, $75.99, $97.99). Orders for pickup must be placed 24-48 hours in advance at one of Serrano’s four locations via phone or online.

Gift cards

Customers may also purchase gift cards and get a kickback ($5 for every $25 purchased). This is the best gift card discount Serrano’s offers and represents a 20 percent value ($10 kickback on $50 gift card, $20 kickback on $100). While quantities last, those who purchase a gift card in any denomination will also receive a $5 off bonus to try Pronto, Serrano’s new fast-casual Mexican food concept, when it opens in Tempe early next year.

Monthly specials

Serrano’s offers monthly specials, and this month’s specials (available through Dec. 6) feature some popular favorites:
